Your review was good, Sajitha. Infact better than the book. But, I disagree with you on the book - I didn't like the book at all. But, your review really shows how much you liked the book! Great going!

Nice review. One point, though. How can you say his life was not adventurous? He was a part of a war, he fought bravely, he lost a leg in that war! I mean, what else do you need to make your life more adventurous?

Oh yes, potato zingtang. I absolutely loved it. Guess you need to be adventurous to like that :-) I stay quite close to Ragoo's, so I visit often :)

Thanks for replying Neha. I have always had trouble discussing Da Vinci Code with people. The moment I say 'I didn't like that book', people pounce on me as if that was the best book ever written. Same with 'catcher in the rye.' So, just wanted to know what you thought of that book.
I have one question for both of you, PrimitiveLyric and Neha. Did you like 'Da Vinci Code?'
Thanks yet again. I really did miss the whole point totally. Can you please explain how it is about disillusionment? Can you elaborate why you liked this book? Why don't you write a review so that I will understand the book better? As I said, if you liked the book, then I am glad you didn't waste read more...

I know the author didn't write the book for me, an Indian. But, thats not a justification for writing pathetically. You say it's brillian read more...
Thanks once again. I think I do say in my review why I don't like the book. 'Since I am not much into non-fiction, I didn’t like it.' Apart from this I do talk about the story and the writing. But, I guess I was not clear enough. I will keep your comments in mind.
Thanks for the comments. I didn't want to really delve into it out of choice.
Hi PrimitiveLyric, thanks for stopping by. Well, if you have read Lahiri's first book, you would have known what I meant by a short story. Her first book is a collection of short stories which are between 50 to 100 pages. In my opinion, the story of Gogol could have been told in half the size that L read more...
