@venkatas2011 - No it is just the regular brakes. I had an experience on the highway. It was night time where a lorry started to enter in to the highway without headlights and I was cruising at 100+. I stopped at least 3 to 4 feet from the vehicle with less effort. The brakes are very responsive.

@dineba10 - I would personally suggest TVS Sundaram Motors as I feel that they are better than KLN Motors. I think out of the box and BEAT is the one for me. i10 or Ritz or Figo all are contemprory to me. They are all over priced and in the name of service make people compromise. Even Tat Manza has features packed but the service matter. I'm satisified with the service I get for my BEAT at Chennai.
