Your desciption about the company is 100% correct, Since this is a lawless fiefdom, these thugs get away with all their nonsense at the customer's expense. In any decent country this firm would have been closed and the owners were put behind bars long back for cheating the public.

After collecting the cheque. Their number will be redirected and redirected for ever. Some times it ends up and the other end speaks non stop Tamil for my English query in the most offending tone.
