AN IDEA THAT TAKES 15 YEARS…….(A POEM)

An idea that takes fifteen years to ferment

Becomes a poem in five minutes.

The lava of fulfillment

Needs decades of incubation,

Inspiration coming only sometimes in flashes

And sometimes slower than a turtle.

A poet is a much misunderstood creature

Who often bears storms for droughts in life.

Muse’s eunuch, he drafts manifestos for eternity,

Recognized much after he and his times have turned to dust,

But vilified for sloth that the world sees in him in life.
