The ban on vehicles should not be based on the age criteria, rather it should be on actual usage. There should be stricker norms for polluting vehicles, but it must be checked thoroughly and not in routine manner. It should not be a mere paper formality.Regarding condition/usage following facts may be seen 1 The condition/usage of vehicle of service class employ will be better as compared to business community(with exception).A serviceman make the vehicle with great difficulty after taking loan. His /her whole life go in paying loan. For serviceman a vehicle is just like wife.A man takes care of his vehicle so much that there is is saying that if a man takes care of his wife like vehicle, then she will never become old.For majority serviceman the vehicle is just like wife which cannot be changed .There is always demand for resale of employes vehicle.Majority of serviceman mostly use vehicle for going to office and coming back and even after 10/15 years there usage my by be 50000km.Govt should give some incentive for less usage of vehicle/less usage of road/less pollution. IN view of above hard facts there should not be any such ban on serving/retired employees(sr citizen)

2 Even if period is to be fixed it should be 20 years for diesel/25 years for petrol for non commercial vehicles and 15 years for diesel/petrol for commercial use.

3 It may be seen that lacs of employees are daily going from NOIDA TO GURGAON AND vice versa. If some preference is given in jobs based on your place of stay(residence) then to some extent movement will reduce.

For new vehicle(yet to be purchased) the period may be disclosed before buying so that one can take the decision carefully.
