Please read the mail send to bajaj capital and you will understand on how they trick the customers into buying particular insurances. I am taking up with IRDA and hope fully they will act. However , I don't want many more people to face the same issue

1) I have informed Bajaj that I am not interested in the fire insurance or the discount voucher for diamond. My frustration and disappointment stems from the fact that various commitments and misleading statement has been done , in order to make me agree for buying the insurance plan.

2) I was chased on multiple occasions stating that as a part of 50th year celebration of Bajaj Capital , I will get a Property fire policy. When I requested for details, it was informed to me that I should come to the Bajaj office and claim it and at this time, I can get clarification. I was also informed that I will get the fire policy and discount voucher immediately.

3) At the time of invitation, there was neither a mention of any compulsion to buy the product nor I was ever informed that I have to listen to the selling of insurance policy . In fact I was informed clearly that I don’t need to pay anything and Bajaj will not try to sell anything

4) When I visited Bajaj Capital, I was given information on Bajaj Capital and then was forced to buy one of the two insurances – Bharati Axa or ING vysya. I informed them that I am not interested in insurance , despite that they kept forcing me to take insurance. I also informed them that I would be interested in investing in mutual funds and I do around 1.5 lacs to 2 lacs investment on the same. Mr. Muniasamy was not interested.

5) Then your sales person Mr. Muniasamy informed that Bajaj Capital service all my insurance that I holding presently but when I informed that I can give the information on all such insurances that I possess, he informed that it is possible only if I take one of these two insurances ie either Bharati Axa or ING vysya. This means that Bajaj Capital has got some interest in these two insurance and also they did not give me details on any other insurances.

6) In fact I told Mr Muniasamy before he started explaining on the above two insurances that I am not interested in looking at any insurance at present, but still he kept persuading me, thereby wasting my time.

7) During the conversation, Mr.Muniasamy kept calling his manager to explain on the insurance. Your manager also tried to persuade and convince me to take the insurance.

8) When I did not give any positive reply on taking the insurance, I was asked to go. Then I asked them about the insurance but Mr. Muniasamy informed that he would print it and handover it to me within two days ie on or before Tuesday ie 19-Mar-13.

9) On Wednesday ie on 20-Mar-13, I called up your customer service personnel Ms. Prabha at around 2 pm before sending the first mail to you. She informed that she would check and get back to me in the same phone no. She did not get back to me at all.

10) On 22-mar-13, I again called Ms. Prabha and enquired. She again said she would check and confirm. When I insisted that I don’t want the fire policy and the discount vouchers for diamonds and I only want the contact details of managers at Delhi for escalation, she invited one of the managers to attend the call. The manager in turn gave the phone to Muniasamy. Latter refused to give the contact details of managers in Delhi for escalation , instead challenged me that I can go anywhere, whatsoever happens, he does not care.

11) Then I sent another mail on 22-mar-13 informing you that this is just misleading customers and forcing them to buy particular insurance. Then I spoke to your customer service executive who patiently heard me, when I explained the above experience and also try to justify. Then she informed that she would inform the customer service in Coimbatore and inform them to apologize for their act.

I am writing the above sequence of transactions that has happened in order to make you aware that it was not the 50th anniversary celebration that you made and the intention was not to give the insurance certificate and discount vouchers but to take that opportunity to convince customers to take the policy of Bharati Axa or ING Vysya and this was proved to the customer service too.
