Beware of Great Eastern Trading Co. !!!

Let me share my experience to purchase a Panasonic LCD T.V. from Great Eastern Trading Co. On 15th of June ‘11 I purchased a Panasonic LCD T.V. (32X22) From Great Eastern Trading Co. 20. Old COURT HOUSE STREET, KOLKATA-700 001. Though they did not give me the proper Money Receipt, which I asked for but they gave me only a Challan ( Duplicate Delivery Copy) and told that there won’t be any problem for that. I trusted them cause I thought, Great Eastern Trading co. is a very old and renowned show room in Kolkata who has so many branches throughout West Bengal. However, they are very trust worthy. I wanted to see my stuff there but they told they will give me home delivery . Next day I got the package of my purchased stuff at home delivery without ‘company seal’. I informed them but they told, not to be worried about that, cause, they had checked the stuff before delivery. I was convinced. But before installation it was found that there was no wall braked which is attached with the package. I called to the show room and somebody ( Mr. Arindam) told me to come and collect the same from there shop. I had to go there. ( 20 kilometers up nd down). Later, When the man came from service centre for installation and opened the package there was neither any warranty card nor any manual book and remote battery which every company provides with their products. We were surprised. Then and there I had to rush to the shop and they told ( Mr. Abir Chacraborty) Panasonic Company does not provide those thinks sometimes. They gave me a warranty card without any date of purchase and their stamp. I had to ask for that. Then they did that. But for the manual and battery I had to wait for a week. Ultimately, I could collect the manual and they gave me two batteries from other remote device. And now it is found that my NEW LCD T.V. IS FULL OF THIN SCRATCHES!!!!

So if you think to purchase anything from this renowned (?)and trust worthy (?) show room- GREAT EASTERN TRADING CO. 20, OLD COURT HOUSE STREET, KOLKATA 700 001, who can give you any ‘Second hand or Repaired stuff’ as fresh one. PLEASE THINK TWICE….
