Are you truly happy with yourself?

How many of us can really give a 100% YES on this?

If you just did, wait for a while and try again!

That was a question I just got over a mail. And ofcourse I couldn't say YES. I couldn't say NO either. Coz I am neither happy nor sad. I am just..OKAY! So I started thinking about happiness.....

i think it's all in the head these days. Everyone NEEDS to be happy and STRIVES to be happy, but happiness is like the birds of Bangalore...non existent. But we try (never-the-less) and do end up finding an eagle flying over the Silk board traffic light. But then it flies away...again.

And we end up with another sad story to tell. Call up an old pal and push another 20 up the meter while she digests our same (read monotonous) blabbering and gives a (predictable) advice. You may just feel better....again.

But then through the movement of the day, our life takes up on us. The sad part is gone. Who has got the time or the money for it? We are too busy to be sad for long. Being happy is not easy, but it is definitely cheaper. We save on a ton of chocolate.

Happiness they say is relative. So either you are happy or you are sad. But I'm none of the two right now. Is that possible? Can I not be happy and not be sad? Or is happiness and sadness a gradient? In case it is a five point scale, I find myself sitting at number 3. I want to be a 1 and 5. Tell painful stories over phone or smile without reason. But guess I am just a plain 3!
