I sat in my lonely chair

On the porch, overlooking the fields

Watching eternities shrink to countable years

And awaiting a return

She finally appeared, walking like the wind

the robes on her swaying the way she did

Flexible as the sand, I felt her smooth self

But didn’t hold on to her

Like mercury she took shape, and escaped her being as quickly

She was around me like a rock

But the next moment she disappeared likea forgotten angel

I saw her in dreams later, she was made for them

In reality, though, she was more of a mirage
