Phillips was considered one of the best brands money could buy,those days are gone ,today Phillips makes most of their products in China.I had to give away my 3 years old Phillips TV just because of its poor quality.Like any Chinese product the first year service is too good i.e till it was under the warranty period .Just after that the screen started going black as I watch some programme It required frequent restart to rectify the problem.

I had to call in the service guy paid him about Rs 750.00 for the repair I guess another Chinese part was implanted into my TV.Just an year after the service the TV had the same old problem.This time too I had to get it repaired.That is twice in 3 yrs.

Now I have I exchanged it and bought a New Onida 36" LCD TV.It is worth the money Onida uses original JVC pannel.

Then on before I buy any electronic product the first thing I look for is "Made in China".That is enough reason for me to look elsewhere.

My Casio Digital Camera( Made in China) had to be repaired just after 2 yrs Paid Rs 4500/- for the repair,

GE codeless phone ( free gift ) "made in china" I had to replace the charger in less than 5 months.

Before you buy a Phillips please look for "Made in China" quality certificate .
