Today, I thought I had some free ‘ME’ time to shop around on X-mas, before I head out on tours in New Year so went to UB City Mall for some shopping(and taking a look at Harley and BMW superbikes too lol)! Firstly, I got jacked in traffic for an hour, and then finally after parking my car, I realized that Harley and BMW were shutting down. Saw the BMW K 1300RR, and got the shock of my life-time – the on-road price in Bangalore, India is 31+ LAKHS!

By the way, it’s priced €12,125 in UK, which translates to around 10L – WOW – 300% taxes+import duties – wtf!

When I entered UB City, everything that I liked in Diesel Store was > Rs 20k($300 for JEANS, and$200 for a shirt!):p When I somehow made up my mind to spend the money, there was no size! When I went to Louis Vuitton store, the manager told me – “Sir we don’t sell suits and jackets in India – you’ll find only accessories here!”… I started wandering towards Rolex, and then had to control myself somehow!(coz’ that’d have been like a solid$10k dent on the bank balance!)

Later, I just picked an Arrow shirt, and decided to enjoy some dinner buffet, but got jacked in traffic for another 90 minutes, and the plan had to be ruled out! Ultimately, got so pissed that I went to see a movie, and realized that Forum Mall has STOPPED playing 10pm shows – WTF again!

Gopalan, Inox and Cinepolis weren’t playing Hunger Games 2, and had already seen the Hobbit 2! Got infuriated even more, and ended up entering Dhoom 3 again! What a criminal wastage of my 5 precious hours, and money on Dhoom 3 tickets TWICE, and the coke+popcorn:p …

Lesson Learnt – Online shopping rocks, and you get more happiness earning 1000 bucks working at home, instead of spending 1,000 bucks on useless stuff, wandering around, and feeling miserable after that!

Back to blogging, and making money again:)
