Rahul- We like!

Rahul Gandhi is like a breath of fresh air in the oppressive scene of Indian politics. Educated, elite, but still bound to his roots, we like Rahul and hope for a breath of cleaner politics in his lifetime. And we are scared for him too, too many Nalinis and human bombs thrive in this country.

And what can we expect from the politics of this young dashing leader? A semblance of sanity, some real-time growth, great business acumen and lots of foreign investment in the country.

It’s too much to ask for a person, but will this Gandhi scion deliver? We think so because he has it in him to turn things around. The Congress led government has seen us through the worst financial collapse in recent history and we have tided it all with the economic sense and sensibility of a few of our leaders. And Gandhi junior happens to be one such man of the moment.

What do we think of him? We think that he will usher in an era of liberalization and turn India into a modern hub of technology, progress and equality. Only someone as rooted as him could go and live in a Dalit’s house. I think Mayawati’s days are numbered.

And so, with one clean sweep he has routed great, mighty opponents like Advani and Modi, so stuck on the Hindutva agenda that they have nothing else to give. Will he be able to survive the mean punches of his opponents and the politics of his adversaries?

Will he be able to wipe out poverty, illiteracy, corruption, economic woes, farmer suicides and all the ills that plague our country? With a team, we certainly think so.
