Today is our anniversary

And last night I felt so sad,

Cause you were not there besides me

And inside I hurt so bad,

You could have stayed a while more

And eased a lot of misery,

Instead you closed your eyes

And said

Good bye to me.

Now here I stand, all by myself and light a candle,

Make a wish for us and love that used to be,

I unwrapped a tiny package that I bought myself

And I say “Darling, I wish you were here with me"

I dedicate this to my Husband who I lost a few months ago.
