THE WORLD IS GETTING OVER-CROWDED (A POEM)
The world is getting over-crowded
With people, ideas and ideologies
That we do not always welcome.
Religions, Denominations, thoughts,
Legion are they to our comfort,
Our way of life and concepts.
But all have a right to live
And to life as we believe we have.
“Rights of Man” applies to all.
We might wish everyone were like we,
But that’s a pious wish that’ll remain so
Till the end of time we inhabit this planet.
Tolerance is the best way
To live and let everyone live;
Change is only a choice,
Cannot be enforced by law
Unless one’s lifestyle is a threat
To social peace and well-being.
So let us espouse this gospel,
You are not the salt of the Earth.
You are Atlas to this world; bear up.
