I was reading the Delhi Times supplement of TOI dated 1st April, 2010. The title of the article caught my attention “ How to cook prawns”.

Wow! Let me learn how to do it. Although I can cook many dishes, I never miss a chance to learn something new!

I started reading the article….I read on..it was good…I came to the last item listed – Grilled prawns with chilly cheese – Ah! What a mouth watering name. I am a foodie and can’t control when something tasty is visible. I read the ingredients, and started to go through the preparation carefully. …..llll….mmmm…nnnn then….Season the cream very well with salt, pepper and mix in the cheese. OK till here…hmm…looks delicious…Then, spoon this mixture over the prawns, ass a little grated cheese over the cream and grill for 5-6 minutes. Oh! My god!!! How in the world do I a** a little grated cheese.???? I pinched myself. Oh! It hurts…So I am not dreaming. I am reading one of the most popular English newspapers.

If any of you have any idea of how to a**, he….he…he….he. I have no clue how to….I looked at the author of the article…it was a lady…My imagination took off..If this dish were prepared for the sagaayee and the groom’s father is given the recipe with a proud comment by the girl’s mother “ beti ka recipe hai….main ne khud sikhayaa hai…quite delicious preparation”….socho….kya hoga…Amen!.

There is no way I am going to cook this horrible stuff…and I do not know whether I will ever be able to have prawns in future, thanks to this article…. A dish of prawns will bring memories of the cook a**ing grilled cheese….cheeeee! I do not want that…. I doubt whether this article was written purposely by a PETA fan.

The articles of anything published in any newspaper is supposed to have passed through the able eyes of editor and his team. And if this is the stuff TOI dishes out….I have only one thing to say “ Tussi great ho! Jahapanah – apna tohfa khud rakh lo…..hamein maaf karo”. I really feel sorry that real talented people who have a good command over the English language are toiling at much nondescript jobs, whereas poor readers have to bear and live with such mediocre stuff dished out by the experts….My inner self tells me…This is a democracy…..learn to adjust….
