Interesting facts about Egyptian Civilization:

In olden times Egyptian priests had to be very clean all the time because they were serving the gods. They bathed in cold water twice a day, and twice at night too! they shaved off their head to prevent getting lice :)

Priests were allowed to wear only linen clothes and shoes made of papyrus plants. They had to sniff insence to keep their bodies and minds clean, and were forbidden to eat some foods.

The ancient Egyptians believed that if a pharoah was worthy of entering the next life,he would travel safely across the underworld,which was full of dangers. There were lots of terrifying monsters,winged snakes, fire-breathing cobras and even a boiling lake of fire!But for the righteous person,there was nothing to worry. If the pharoah was a bad person, Annit, the monster would eat him! so they believed.

Ostrich hunting was a favourite game of the pharoahs. The feathers of this long-legged, long-necked bird were used for fans because of their size and shape. Ostrich feathers also decorated the pharoah's head gear. The ostrich eggshells were used as drinking cups in ancient Egypt.

One of the first ancient Egyptian games ever found was ' Snake'. The stone board represented a snake coiled with head in the centre. The winner was the first person who moved their piece from the snake's tail to it's head in the centre. It's rules are unknown.
