Dad bought me a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 around 3 years back. It was then the best phone available in market. I was happy. I was satisfied with the phone.
Couple of months back, one of my friend bought an IPhone 6s. I asked him to exchange the phone. We exchanged the phones for a week. I used it and it was awesome. The finger print sensor, 3d touch, 4k recording etc. It was all mesmerizing. It was something new for me.
The day arrived when he took back his phone.
For next some days, I thought more about an IPhone and didn't like Note 2 much.
I wanted to buy it but I couldn't as I couldn't afford it and my dad won't buy me a new phone before I graduate.
I was dissatisfied with what I had because I had a desire to get a better stuff.
What if I never saw an IPhone? I think I would had been satisfied with my Note 2 .
A person sees a bigger picture, desires to get that picture and is dissatisfied with his smaller picture till he gets this bigger picture. Once he gets this bigger picture, he desires further to get a a bigger picture.
Desire; this makes us dissatisfied.
Satisfaction is not a degree to possess all your life. It's a mediation, a thought for which one needs to keep working all his life!
