Technology is constantly advancing and the manufacturers are leaving no stone unturned to come with something new that is surprising. And the new report suggests that Apple has been exploring new technologies so that it can include solar charging in their product iWatch. Apple products fail to succeed when it comes to battery life and so it has been looking for an alternative way to boost the power of future devices.
The big question is does anything like iWatch exists in reality? Well, only Apple insiders can answer this. However, these claims are based on a patent filed by Apple in 2011.
This patent describes a'wearable accessory device' with a flexible display that could be worn on a leg or an arm using the same kind of mechanism as a slap wrap toy. It also has provisions to increase the battery life via'solar panel array spread across a surface of the accessory device', or'a kinetic power source similar to those found on some wristwatches.' A 2009 patent stated how the kinetic energy from arm or leg movement while the wearer walks would be channeled by apple. Another patent allowing Apple to install flexible battery into future products gave a boost to speculations about curved screen and design.
After all the rumours, designers have created concept images of what iWatch may look like. However, Apple has been tight-lipped and has not made a single comment about the rumoured new product.
