I have to disagree with this one! I've been using AMEX since 2001 and do not have a single instance of unfriendly customer care interaction. In fact its quite a contrast with Standard Chartered (with who I had to threaten recourse to Consumer Courts just to get it cancelled, after having paid all read more...

I've been using the card for about 6 years now - and only because every year one phone call is needed to get them to waive the annual fee! I totally agree with the acceptability point and there have been numerous occasions when I've had to use my wife's VISA card because AMEX was either not accepted read more...
