11th Dec 2006:Just bought this laptop y’day and would like to add initial points I see in this laptop.Probably this model is not available in India - may be you need to go around / order to get this model.Ease of use:~~~~~~~~~~I used to work on desktops and as and when you get your hand on a laptop, you might first struggle to cope up with the keyboard or the touchpad mouse.But this model (and probably all HP models) have wonderful key layout and mouse-pad, I did’nt struggle a bit to type / use the touchpad mouse pointer. Absolutely wonderful.There is more...You have separate navigation keys right at the place where you need it. Still more.... The keyboard layout has virtual numeric part as well...Just lock the NumLock key and use right side portion of keyboard as NUM-LOCK.Value for money & config:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Its price (Inclusive all taxes) --- On road...err...may be "On Home" is 53K.Here are the config:* Intel T2300E Dual core processor* 512 MB DDR* 60 GB hard disk* DVD combo drive* Bluetooth and wireless network* Lan port and Modem port* Secondary monitor port* 3 USB* 1 Firewire* Whole lot of HP softwares* Win -XP home (Ready for Win-Vista upgrade)* Norton Anti-virus full (with internet protection and anti-spam for email clients and blah...blah...blah)* Other multimedia softwares.* A first-class HP-Carry case.Quality & Durability:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Great design...I can say only this now...Service & Support:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Not yet used this : Just rated medium for this...Will update as and when events happen.

Good but as per ur use

As we all know that hp is best brand in laptop

as in india hp ranks 1st

hp nx 7400 is good laptop

you see the features and what kind of work u will do on the laptop

but buying any other brand laptop will be good but after sales service is best in hp

so it is good to buy

Don't Visit to Indiranagar Service Centre,

I am Studying in Jain College MBA, Once I visited in Indiranagar Service Centre, they told me it will not cover under extended warranty, but the enginer is asked to pay some bugs he will replace free of cost, its very bad for me to replacing some money to engineer, then they will considered as a warranty then they will replace my lcd, as hp is not aware how they are treating to customer, internal they are taking money from customer and replacing eventhough if your laptop is physically damage, contact front office engineer to Any issues in your laptop, I don’t to know whethear its true hp is not providing under warranty also they will charge, be carefull for hp products know a days they are saying this that lab lab lab lab it will not cover under warranty, my personal suggestion don’t buy any hp laptop, as of my knowledge buy only Sony, Dell, HCL, IBM, Lenovo, . Recently my friend is facing the issue with newly purchased DV6 laptop its really overheating eventhough u can’t touch on bottom case, avoid to purchase hp products, they are cheating to customers.
