I want to hook up my new Bosch washing machine only to the cold water. Is this fine? I only do laundry in cold water.

yes , you wash by cold water. In Bosch the cold water inlet only in their models Aquascure water inlets. You can selected a HOT or COLD cycle was normal.

I have a Bosch washing machine ,bought in Dec 2012. After giving satisfactory service for about 7 years, the control panel has failed. Replacement cost is Rs 5,900 +service charges. Is it worth to replace or go for a new one under buyback scheme ,. They are offering a discount of around Rs 7000 under buyback.

U might have to change the motors,i had the same issue earlier gives a sharp noise during drying process.
