It took me awhile before I could allow the songs to get into my 'system'. 'Jaage Hain' is mesmerising (I simply love the ARR + Chitra combo) and others are also good on the ears on repeated listening. As usual, a great way to look back. I liked the manner if which you discussed about the music directors more than a particular song. The genre of music is certainly a scoring point for the MDs. Prasanth

This was a very good review - I have heard the album umpteen number of times and I had to listen to it all over again to understand what you wrote. I love music in any form so long as it pleases and ARR definitely leads the pack who try to give the best to the audience. Prasanth

For once I thought that this took very little time to actually grow on you. I beg to differ on the 'Tu Bin Bataaye' number - I would go for a 9 or 10 upon 10 - this was the song which I loved in the very first listening.

You are turning out to be a true lover of 'music'. Keep going. I have also laid my hands on the album. It is quite nice. I am a malayalee; the songs of 80-90 were the best in Malayalam cinema and I am listening to one of them (a movie called Dhwani - try it - music by Naushad)...

It was surprising to note that Rahman has given a hiatus of a year in Tamil music!!! The CD was worthwhile - for a change, I liked 3-4 songs on the very first listening itself. The Hariharan song took time to grow but all the songs are quite well put to rhythm. Accompaniments also seemed to go well read more...
