36 short stories:'TWIST' is the underlined word

I am not die hard fan of Jeffrey Archer. It did sound good when I heard about Archer’s short stories from my colleague. Well!!!! After reading this superb collection of 36 short stories, I will tell you that these are the best twist stories I have ever read. I recommends 7 stories which I liked the most.. They are mentioned below based on the ranks which I gave.

1. Clean sweep Ignatius

Twist can never be better than this one. Let me know if you find a story which has a better (twist) ending than this one. The story is all about the Nigerian finance minister (Ignatius) looking for a solution to end all the corruption in his land. Will he be able to succeed???

2. Christina Rosenthal

‘Love’ is life long friendship. This is what love according to me. I wish my girlfriend loved me the same way Christina loved her boyfriend J . What makes this love story different is the way in which the story is moving. It’s about a letter which Benjamin writes to his father starting from his dissatisfaction of being a Jew and then how it transforms to his love for Christina. The ending of this story will pull out tears from your eyes..

3. A Chapter of accidents

Awesome!!!! Edward’s trap setting for his enemy Travers was well planned.. ( How did Travers become a pain in Edward’s neck?? Read the story). Well !!! This entire story reminded me about my boss’s words. ‘There is no shortcut to success…. There is no replacement for hard work’. Was Edward successful?? You decided…

4. You’ll never live to regret it

The story starts with an insurance agent trying to persuade his client to take a policy. He keeps repeating this sentence frequently. Did his client live to regret it??

5. The Perfect Gentleman

You should read this story after reading the above mentioned ones… What is the twist in this story?? No.. I won’t tell that..

Loophole & Dougie Mortimer’s Right Arm are the other two short stories worth mentioning..

Cheers
