India Jones - a poorly implemented concept.

When India Jones opened, it was the talk of the town. Fabulous food, superb ambience, etc. etc. It turned out to be quite contrary to what I had heard. The restaurant is reasonably well done up. The ambience not bad. The menu is a mish-mash of Asian cuisenes, a little bit of everything but nothing quite as fantastic as it should have been. Portions are quite small therefore a good meal turns out to be quite pricey. Some of the dishes are quite exotic - like the jelly fish salad(which I quite liked by the way) but overall the Oberoi is capable of churning out something far better. In Bombay unfortunately people are starved for new places, therefore many a time the importance of food is ignored & a new restaurant becomes ’’the place to be seen’’ at. If it were in New York in my opinion India Jones would have closed down by now.
