Tom Stall(Viggo Mortensen) is your average American living in a small town in Indiana with his Wife Edie(Maria Bello) and kids Sarah(Heidi Hayes) and Jack(Ashton Holmes). He is running an eatery and is quite popular in theneighbourhood. One night when he foils an armed robbery in his restaurant and in self defense shoots the 2 muggers, he becomes an overnight hero. But soon his past catches with Him. Philadelphia Gangster Carl Fogarty(Ed Harris) comes to his restaurant and makes him remember his past. His past, which Tom, has long forgotten and buried. Very Simple Story and extremely fast. The movie ends before your jaws open wide. Good acting by everyone and alternative cinema at its best. Worth a watch for movie buffs. Watch out for some very disturbing violent scenes.
Psst – 1) The Movie is set in a fictitious town of Millbrook in Indiana, USA. The name was derived from a place of the same name in Canada where the shooting of the film had taken place.
