I had used MTNL, Airtel and then ABC Broadband. I had to choose ABC Broadband since I didnt have a landline in my rented flat and Airtel was expensive. However, the experience turned out to be a nightmare from day 1.
For the first 15 days I was not able to connect to internet and frequently net was not available. It was monsoon time and the boosters to strengthen the signal had gone bad due to rains. After repeated follow up and yelling at their customer care center finally I got it resolved.
When I used MTNL I had never called technician to resolve the internet connectivity issue. I had to call only their customer care twice and it was resolved. For ABC Broadband, technician came to my place almost 5 -6 times over 1 year.
ABC Broadband had weird disconnection policy that it takes 45 days to disconnect. So I gave disconnection request on 27th July and it got closed by 31st August. As per my billing cycle which was from 15 th July to 15th October (Quarter), I should have been charged proportionately for a month but I was slapped a final payment of 3 months(complete cycle from 15th July - 15th October). When I approached the customer care, ABC Broadband called me through their advocate and threatened to take me to court. To avoid courtship I had to finally pay the complete amount.
I dont know the rules of consumer rights and I felt helpless. ABC Broadband was pressurizing me to pay almost 4890/- through the advocate which is way above the quarterly payment of 3350/-.
Please think twice before you go for ABC Broadband; MTNL and Airtel are much better.
