Robin Cook has me 'Abducted'

I’m proud of Robin Cook for daring to take his readers through a lesson in sociology, environmentalism, and history. He has cleverly chosen a cross section of characters that we can all identify with and brought up issues and ideas that we did not expect from him. Subjects like homophobia, emotional insecurity, and world peace are all tackled with ease. Cook has designed a ’Jurassic Park’ in which WE are the scary dinosaurs. Cook has also shown that he does his homework, even when not writing about medicine.

The books only faults were that his characters lack a little development or detail and the whole story wrapped itself up in just too tidy a bow. This is not to say I didn’t keep turning pages though. This is good sci-fi for people who do not like sci-fi. I expect a movie version in the future.
