I recently bought Santro-GL from Advaith Hyundai. Few months prior to the purchase, I was approached by both Trident and Advaith but Trident didn’t follow up once I told them that I had postponed my purchase by a couple of months. Advaith executive was very prompt in calling me atleast once a month and asking me if I have finally decided to buy the car. He would also tell me about the latest offer and how it compared to previous offers.
So, when I finally decided to buy the car, I went to Advaith Hyundai. I was impressed with their pre-sale follow up and thought that this dealer really cares for its customers.
Till the time I paid the downpayment cheque, everything was smooth and I was made to feel like a king. After the cheque was encashed and I went to negotiate for car loan and insurance related formalities, they started mis-guiding me. They told me that they have in-house consultants who would help me get the best car loan(the person turned out to be an AXIS Bank sales person). They were offering insurance from Royal Sundaram, and when I asked them for alternative insurance company, they told me that Hyundai has tied up with Royal Sundaram and I will get a good deal and service.
I was learning driving when I purchased the car, so I had asked them to provide a driver who could drop the car at my home(for a price, ofcourse). They had initially agreed and told me that they would provide a person. However, at the time of delivery, they told me very bluntly that they can’t provide any person/driver and I will have to make my own arrangement. Thankfully, I drove home safely that day.
All their promises turned out to be false. Later on, their own dealership saleman told me that I could have chosen another insurance provider(instead of Royal Sundaram). The loan papers(that they had assured me of good service) from AXIS bank have not arrived even after almost a month. Moreover, they cheated me in accessories also. The prices of all accessories(like music system, perfume, seat covers) were much higher than open market prices.
