On of the lessons I have learnt recently is never fall for a cheap offer, during last November there was an offer in AirAsia cheapest tickets in India, I fell for the offer as my aging parent wanted to visit few pilgrim centers in north India. I booked the tickets for the entire family as I wanted to combine pilgrimage with some pleasure trips. and in accordance to the date I went ahead and booked hotels, cabs and flights to other states via delhi. yesterday all of a sudden I receive an SMS( only SMS) saying the flight has been cancelled and the money would be refunded. Now since I have done all the other arrangements I had no choice but to rebook the tickets at a different airline at a very high price as the dates I had selected earlier fall during vacations season.
This is the worst experience I ever had, the other flights which I had book there were cancellations but the Airliner had courtesy to call and reschedule my flights, some case Make my trip changed my flights to a different airliner.
The customer care reps, the two mangers I spoke to and the nodal officer who is based locally in Bangalore were totally useless( I am surprised that all of them have the same answer but different salary packages). they were rude and talking policies all the time, they absolutely had no clue how inconvenient it was for the customers like me.
I am yet to receive the refunds, I hope I wont be given a run around hiding under the garb of policies and procedures.
Overall think twice before selecting "The cheapest" Airlines, Air Asia is really cheap interms of handling its customers
I have placed the case Ids below for reference
