I have recharged my mobile from aircel.com with Rs258/- in Aug, Oct, Nov and Dec 2011. There was an offer of 5% extra talk time which means that if you recharge with Rs.258/- you will get a value of Rs.270.90/-.
Every time I recharged, I got only Rs 258/- added to my account. I assumed that the remaining Rs.12 might be added 24/48 hrs later and I never cared much about such a paltry sum.
The last time I recharged my mobile in Dec 2011, I checked my balance for a day or two and I never got the balance I should have.
This week when I was going to recharge my mobile again, I emailed them to confirm whether there are some terms and conditions for this recharge(like some stupid condition that such recharge is valid for night time talk, STD talk etc.). They asked me for the recharge dates details etc.
I got a reply "We would like to inform you that, we have investigated your under mentioned concerned at our end and as per the 60 days records the records transaction ID’s XYZ and ABC of Rs 258 were successfully recharged with valid amount i.e. 270.90/- Therefore no error found and credited amount is valid."
I recharged my mobile again today to make sure who’s telling the truth. I recharged with Rs.258/- and got an sms that the phone has been recharged with Rs.270.90. But when I check my balance, the recharge has been done for Rs.258/- only. Its a daylight robbery!
It seems one of their’stupid’ system send sms that recharge is done for rs270 while the other’crook’ system recharges for rs258. And the company, obviously, blindly believes the stupid and never questions the crook.
I regret moving from vodafone to aircel now. :)
