Airtel 4g- serivce should be improved.

I live in TRIVANDRUM and have been an airtel customer since 2006, still am but is this is how they treat loyal customers then I will not be for long.


a few weeks back I got a message saying I have 1gb of 4g data free, being a free offer I activated it. after a few days when I was trying to make a call, it said insufficient balance. The last time I checked I had 450Rs in my account.


I tried to call the customercare which is been said to be the best in the country but every time I call them after a few minutes before o could select the option to talk to an executive the call will get cut off. this happened a few times, remember they charge for each of those calls so I had to recharge before making a Customer care call. then I went to the airtels main office, after talking to the executive and the manager.


the thing happened was that the phone have to be set to 4g only(they never told me to make these changes in the settings before). mine is the HTC Desire 820, a phone in which there is no option for 4g only, the one I have is 3g or 4g as my setting. so when the network was connected to a 3g tower they automatically started deducting money from my account. I asked for the refund since I was not told about this and this is actually an issue with the airtel tower managing application software they use. then they made me call the head office in mumbai or something from their phone. after a heated conversation they were saying that they will only refund 200 rs - half the money I lost. the way he told was what made me angry as if they are giving me some charity.
