I have as one of the first users of Airtel 4G services,
When IPL starts I saw an advertisement on YouTube that they are providing free IPL match show on hotstar,
so I started using my Airtel number to show IPL. I was using a 1GB per day plan bit I knew that that not gonna use on hotstar IPL live, so one tge very first day I was seeing that match in 720p but after near about 1 hour I was having difficulties with the streaming then I checked the Internet pack and it shows that I don’t have any data left for today. I was confused then I called to their customer care and explained the issue, they replied that the data will be credited to me in 10 minutes and the data charge was wrong and I can see IPL just I have to restart my phone to start steaming seamlessly.
so I have done the the same after that I saw that its became in normal speed and I start streaming live IPL again. but again after 30 minutes I saw that my main account balance amounting Rs.120 has been deducted as data charges.
I was speechless that time I had no idea about what was going on. again I called to the customer care and explained that. but this time they told me that Hotstar subscription was free, but IPL streaming is not free, it will be charged from the data balance and from the main account balance when streaming without any data pack. Then I asked about the previous statement that was suggested by them, they replied that they haven’t told me anything like this, also I haven’t called them about this matter.
then I understand everything I have been cheated with false advertisement and immature statements. I quite from Airtel and port that number to jio.
I think most of the people like me have faced these issues. want to say them that please don’t believe Airtel, Vodafone and Idea they have started cheating us to make profits in their business.
