I purchased Airtel 4G ZTE MF29 Router and Dongle at the same time in July 2013. It was one of the biggest mistakes I made in my life.
When the Airtel Executive showed the Demo I got 36MBPS speed and when the product was delivered, Airtel restricted the speed to 10MBPS where I started getting 8 to 9 MBPS.
Everything worked for a month and issues started pouring.
Wifi Router: Used to show connected but unable to browse. I called many times 4G customer care and they asked me to do a power cycle, reset, changed frequency on router page, executive was sent to my home to check the device. No one was able to fix the problem and he replaced with another router which went online. Within a week, the same problem, again replaced with another device and went online. worked for a week and again same problem. Now, I was so pissed off that I asked for a new device. They replaced it with new router and went online. The issue did not occur for another 2 to 3 months. This issue started again and this time they said its the sim card and I replaced it with a new sim card last month. Not good. Still the same issue. What a pathetic experience. The only reason I am still using this is because I dont have any other broadband services in my location.
Dongle: Dongle worked for almost 4 months after purchase and after that it started giving error and unable to connect. I was so pissed off with Router issue that I cancelled this connection.
Overall: Pathetic Hardware and Service by Airtel. I have been with Airtel for long but now Airtel has lost its quality.
Please dont but any router or dongle from Airtel. Buy the Sim and try purchasing hardware from third party. Hope this helps.
