I bought a 4G airtel based on promises that there was network everywhere. But in my residence the 4G does not work. In fact even mobile connections(2G or 3G) do not connect properly. Call drops are very high nearly 8 out of 10 calls. Of late even in main places in the city like Hebbal junction, Maynata, Silk Board, etc. call drops have been quite severe.
I have been complaining for 6 months and had 5 connections. Now 2 I have disconnected, shifted 2 more to Reliance CDMA which works. I did not try Vodafone & Idea since someone said they use same towers / network.
Despite complaining to them and to Appellate Authority there has been only promises but no relief. And to make matters worse they keep calling me to pay bills despite no network. I had paid for 2 months in the hope they will rectify network, But when they did not keep their promise, I clearly told them that from next month onwards since there is no network I will not pay. They sent engineers who confirmed to me that Airtel did not want to spend money to put network & there will be no network even if they promise.
And today some Ranjit called saying he was from TRAI legal cell and threatened to send me legal notice. He did not bother to check the complaints made by me over the past 6 months! And why does the Appellate authority protect Airtel? My complaint number is: 59436814 in case anyone wishes to check the trouble I am facing and how many times I tried to complain. I am sure they have closed these complaints on false pretext. And they have the guts to tell me they tried calling me but they could not reach me - of course that is the complaint - their network is so poor they cannot reach my alternate mobile(unfortunately also Airtel which I am porting out in next 1 week).
Does TRAI not bother to check the customers problems? Is TRAI protecting poor quality network and when Airtel hides customer complaints? Where do we customers go for help against these large corporates and who threaten customers?
