Airtel Landline+ Broadband Customer ID 16598467I had applied for a landline and broadband from Airtel on 02 Jul 2011. Customer ID No. 16598467.
After much effort and reminders the broad band was activated after about 2 weeks. The landline still has not been activated on 23 Aug 2011. The telephone instrument that was to have been provided has not been provided so far.
Repeated efforts to contact Airtel have had no effect.
In fact Airtel charges for calls to most customer service numbers at the full rate. e.g Gurgaon 0124-4444121. So all I am doing is adding to Airtels billing by trying to sort out a problem which is a deficiency in service on the part of Airtel.
I have emailed the Nodal Officer at Airtel for NCR but there has been no response. No email acknowledgement either.
The only saving grace is that they have not started billing me yet.(As if I would pay!). They have made their money out of my customer support calls any way.
I call from an Airtel mobile and there is surprisingly high call drop rate.
