Unbelievably pleasant experience with the airtel broadband. It really took just two days for the guys to get the application form and all the documents, do the cabling abnd activate the connection. Absolutely no hassles so far. I have opted for the unlimited home plan which comes with a zero rental landline connection , one rupee tariff to anyphone anywhere in India and everything seems reliable so far.
I am not sure when they started this, but I was in for a good surprise. They have actually given me a serivce guarantee. For all billing mistakes, and all delays in responding to a customer’s call, they give me a Rs. 100 off in the bill. Now thats amazing. Now as far as the Indian scene is concerned, to make such an announcement, and that too in writing, means something. I have made a habit not to pay a single rupee extra to any bank, any credit card, any phone company whatsoever, and this guys really matches up to the expectations.
I think the only drawback is the Beetel 220BX modem, which requires a "reboot" sometimes ( once a week). Since I am on an unlimited connection, my modem and pc are always on, 24 hours a day, downloading something or the other, the modem probably never gets any rest. The connection does hang quite a few times. The first time, I launched a complaint with the call center, and I received a call in 10 minutes from technical guys telling me about it.
Amazing speed. I have opted for 256 kbps line and the speed on an average is 200+ kbps till date. It has seldome gone below that. That is reliability. Kudos for keeping up the good work.
