I got a Corporate SIM card. Being a Corporate employee, I was told by the Airtel salesman, who intermittently sits near my office’s canteen area that my plan will allow Unlimited Free local SMS.
After receiving my postpaid bills, I observed that even Local SMSes are charged(but at a discounted rate).
Lesson Learned: TAKE IN WRITING, whatever Airtel Salesman tells you. Airtel DOES NOT publishe Postpaid Plan Brochure detailing payment details/intentionally avoid their Salesman distributing the same to customers. Airtel Salesman always give 1 page photostats detailing the payment plan, which can’t later be used as an evidence against proving your case of Billing Frauds by Airtel Postpaid Services.
