Right after US Airways, Airtran Airways is my second favorite airline. If I cant get on US Airways, Ill usually fly on Airtran. For a low cost carrier, they treat their customers really well. Its almost like I am flying an expensive airline.
Once you get on the airplane you feel relaxed in the pocket book and physically. Airtran is really big in Atlanta, and thats exactly where I live. Unlike other airlines, Airtran keeps their lines moving. Even if you wait till the last minute, there is still a chance that you will make your flight. The only thing I suggest in Airtran, is to increase their number in aircraft. They could also use bigger airplanes. Airtran only has 2 style aircraft in their fleet. Their airplanes include the Boeing 737 and the Boeing 717.
These two airplanes will get you were you going, but they could still use bigger jets. Most airlines have a plethora of airplanes in their fleet. Like Delta Airlines, Delta has a contract with Boeing and have several planes by them. US Airways used to have a contract with Boeing, but now has a big contract with Airbus. Airbus really has a unique look. US Airways has the Boeing 737-300, 737-400, 767-200, and the 757 200. All those airplanes will be replaced by the new Airbus planes that US Airways requested. Not to brag about US Airways, but they will have a plane that is even bigger than their A330-300. That plane is the A350. Back to Airtran now. If somebody were to ask me for a recommendation for Airtran,
I would definitely recommend them. Their customer service is great, everything is just wonderful about them. The only thing, they to need to do to improve is purchase or lease some bigger aircraft. Flights on Airtran usally sale out really quick because of the fact that their planes really arent that big. I also like their offers when you can give up your seat and get a free roundtrip ticket to anywhere Airtran flies. That is an excellent deal. For all the people that hate US Airways, just give them a chance. Most of their complaints were really petty. Fly Airtran Airways and US Airways.
