Strong points were the CGI, one-liners, acting by Riteish D and Amitabh B.

Good cutting and editing would have made the picture better if the interleaving of the sub-plots was better.
Wholesome family entertainer. Better than CCtC.
The idea of the fairytale remade is interesting. One need not dwell too much on the background. It is not important. The nuances of greed(or the lack of it) have been shown very well.
There is a lot of poetic licence with the way a genie functions. That may make some kids critical. Adults enjoy the movie anyway, kids want rules of genie-dom to be strictly adhered to.
Songs are catchy but not remarkable.
The CGI is what has made this film. 25 years ago the same thing would have been a tacky flop.A good clean family entertainer. One moral that comes across is that life has to be sorted out in the real world by one’s own efforts, without resorting to magic.Sanjay Dutt potential has been grossly under utilized. Much, much more could have been done with him.
