I had placed order for high end Coolpad Note-5 mobile phone for my daughter who is in Bangalore and paid the full amount( # 403-0832486-2382734). Yesterday it was delivered to her. But to our great disappointment a defective mobile has been delivered which could not be started at all.
I am regular customer of all e-retailers like Flipkart, ebay, Snapdel for more than 10 years but have not faced similar problem before. Once Flipkart replaced a burnt out electric kettle even after the return period as goodwill gesture. But I tried to register return in Amazon website for this phone without any success. Amazon being the leader of etail business should solve the problem amicably. My daughter is student staying in hostel cannot run from service centre to centre to repair the phone. Amazon should take that responsibility for the sake of customer satisfaction.
Update: After I contacted Amazon customer support, they agreed to pick up the defective phone for free replacement with new phone. It was picked up already, new phone is yet to reach. Dont know how will be quality of replacement one.
Update-2: The replacement phone behaved in exactly same way like earlier one. It starts well but after first restart it got system update and then stops functioning. After that it automatically tried to start several times but didnt go after start music. This went on and on till battery discharged. So now it is certain this India made phone has software issue at manufacturing for which Coolpad is responsible and not Amazon. After the replacement phone also found defective, Amazon agreed to pick up and refund the money.
