I am writing this review from the Indian point of view.
The Apple Imac is a great product. Its OS is much better and rock solid than windows. Its faster than a Windows machine of the same configuration.
I could go on and on about its advantages ..
But if you are going to buy this product in India then you better think again because thanks to our Goverment and insame taxes and stuff the cost of the Imac is actually doubled.
With that much money you easily buy 4 - 5 normal PCs of decent configuration.
About the software on the Imac its pretty much limited, although the OS does a pretty good job but still there no much softwares for the Imac.
The cost of these third party software is also very high and you dont all of them in India.
Last but not the least if your Imac has some problem, then you cant open it, you will have to go to the officail dealer with your Imac. The dealer then sends the Imac to bangalore to get it repaired an then it comes bac to you. This can easily take 1 - 2 months.
Looking at all the cons I wont recommend an Imac, be happy with the simple PC.
