I’m writing this a lot late then I should have(almost a year late!) but what the heck I don’t have much to do!
While going through rating and reviews about iphone from different people I noticed that there is a lot of misconception about the iphone about what its shortcomings are and what its best features are so here is the list from me.
1) Battery life - **Talk Time - up to 8 hr Good
*Compare that with one of the best in line from Nokia - N95 8GB, which has a talk time of up to 6 hr.
2) Camera - 2 MP. Good(but outdoor shots only)
Daylight shots (do not need flash) just comes amazing clear . its far better than the 3 MP camera from Nokia.
Dimly lit area(need a little flash) . Bad… Awful…
Night shots(needs flash):(
3) Ringtone Volume… Bad
All due to the small speakers in the bottom of the phone. If you misplace it and try to look for it be calling yourself, chances are you will never find it, if the bottom is covered by say a pillow in your bed.
4) Signal Reception strength. **Good
*It is almost the same as HTC touch that my room mate has or Nokia which my GF uses.
5) Radio. I don’t know why I’m putting it here. it does not have a radio . so what no other phone has an iPod in it J

And now some non trivial facts about iPhone’s hardware:-)
6) It has a 620 MHz ARM processor inside that is by far the best I have heard . HTC touch has 201 MHz Nokia N95 has 330 MHz. Awesome work Apple.
7) It has a touch screen of 320 x 480 pixels - HTC has 240 x 320 pixels - LG Viewty has 240 x 400 pixels. Awesome work Apple. I love bigger screens on which many may disagree.
8) Web browser: - The best. But alas does not support flash. but who knows with 2.0 that might be available.
9) Games support: - wait till iphone 2.0 is out…
Iphone 2.0 will be far better than Sony PSP and Nintendo DS because -
Nintendo DS - 67 MHz ARM 946E-S(N-Gage processor)+ 33 MHz ARM7TDMI(same processor as the original iPods) 4MB RAM, 256×192 display
Sony PSP - 333 MHz MIPS R4000 CPU+ GPU with 2 MB onboard VRAM running at 166 MHz 32 MB main RAM, and 4 MB embedded DRAM. 368×207 display
IPhone - ARM SoC 620 MHz 1176 running at 412 Mhz+ PowerVR MBX 3D GPU
128MB RAM and 320×480 3.5" display
You see iPhone will make PSP and DS run for their life. with EA Games and other major game makers already saying that making games for iphone is much more easy than any other handheld platform.

10) Now do I need to write about the overall look of the phone. well its ssoooo cute was what my GF said when she first saw it:)
I think it’s the best thing to happen to the mobile world. It is an awesome piece of device itself and it will make other mobile phone manufacturers be innovative. I’m waiting for Nokia’s touch screen mobile. till then I don’t think any other cell phone is a cell phone.
