Im one of those few girls who graduated straight to reading Sidney Sheldons classic bestsellers in college, bypassing the Mills & Boons stage completely after the Enid Blyton and Nany Drew phase,
So last month, I was really excited to start reading Are you Afraid of the Dark? the latest bestseller from my all-time favourite author.
What a bitter bitter experience!
Radically unlike any other book by the internationally acclaimed author, this one was a mundane, predicatable and one-track novel that was so utterly putdownable, that I suspect that it could be comissioned work, and not something thats come from the heart and mind of the great Sidney Sheldon!
Theres no plot, no surprises, no thrill and definitely nothing to waste hours over! Dont touch this one from a mile away!
sob
Really think I should go for a second reading of Master of the Game, The Stars Shine Down or Rage of Angels to shake off the experience of this one!
