As Good As It Gets stars Jack Nicholson as the worlds most obnoxious man, who finds that he must change his ways in order to keep the woman he loves or be kicked to the side to live a life of embitterment in this stylish and very funny comedy. Nicholson plays his character superbly although he is aided by a truly excellent script and good supporting cast.
This is a very intelligent comedy and therefore do not expect to see the gags coming thick and fast, but a more subtle kind of insidious humour which will leave a permanent smile on your face as the movie progresses - this is no American Pie or Scary Movie.
I refuse to say anything about the storyline to this movie as I feel that sopme films are better if viewed with little idea of what you are about to see and this is one of those films. However, suffice to say that you wont be disappointed should you rent it out.
In fact it may be argued that this is more of a love story, or feel good movie than a comedy, but whichever it may be, it is still a great film and one which I would recommend to everyone - although its probably aimed at those over the age of 15 as younger watchers would probably be bored.
