In general, when we talk about or think about SUPER -VILLAIN, we get an image of an evil guy who wants to wreck havoc for his own interest.
Well, you have the same perception, you need to rethink about that after watching this movie.
THANOS is the villain or you could say super-villain of this movie and he had few cameos in some of previous MCU movies.
Thanos has a motive of wiping out the half of the population of the universe as a solution to prolonged the use of the finite resources of the universe.
He achieved this ideology due to the problem on is planet TITAN and its extinction strengthen his motive.
Now talking about protagonists, this list is quite huge.
As MCU has been developing these character for over 10 years since 2008. to understand these character and there behavior, sarcasm or about their power and abilities you need to watch those 18 movies.
those 18 movies will help you understand how they come into existence, how they grow, how they meet, how they become avengers.
Talking about MOVIE PLOT.
After so many failures of getting INFINITY STONES, now Thanos go by himself to get them.
Thanos first of all attack the Xandar to collect the POWER STONE(from Guardians of Galaxy) and destroyed the Xandar, this scene hasn’t been shown in the movie. Maybe there wasn’t any Avengers or marvel superheroes there to fight him:P
After that, Thanos attack on Asgardian ship to collect SPACE STONE, which we known as TESSERACT(from AVENGER). Where Thanos easily defeat Thor and Hulk and kill Heimdall and Loki. Before dying Heimdall sent Hulk to earth.
Next, Thanos sent his adopted sons to collect TIME STONE(from Doctor Strange)(also known as EYE OF AGAMOTTO which Doctor strange wears as locket) andMIND STONE( from AVENGERS 2)(which present in Vision’s forehead).
while Thanos adopted sons engaged with Doctor strange the were interrupted by Iron man and Spiderman. Avengers team were kind of lose in the combat but Thanos’s son was failed to extract he TIME STONE due to Doctor strange magical spell so he abducted doctor strange and Iron man and Spiderman follows him.
While engaging with Vision to get the MIND STONE Thanos’s warriors was interrupted by Wanda(Scarlet Witch) and sometime later they were saved by Captain America, Agent Romanoff(Black widow) and Falcon.
Doctor strange was saved by Iron man and Spiderman but in fighting with Thanos’s Adopted son the spaceship was destroyed and they landed in Planet TITAN(Thanos’s home planet)
In between, that Thor met Guardian of galaxy team, where he tells about Thanos attack and also that he will need his Hammer.
He also tell them that the REALITY STONE is in planet Knowhere with The Collector.
Thor with Rocket and Groot move to Nidavellir to get the Hammer. And Star-lord, Gamora, Drax and Mantis move to Knowhere to collect and save the REALITY STONE.
while arriving to Knowhere star lord and company fights with Thanos and defeat him only to know that Thanos has already got the REALITY STONE and has changed the reality with that only to lure out Gamora. he take Gamora with him and vanish from there.
And while Thor arrived Nidavellir he comes to know that Thanos had already been there and destroyed the planet and killed all the dwarves but leaving there king Eitri alive by cutting his hand off. Thor creates his Hammer with the guidance of Eitri and Rocket and Groot help him in doing so.
Thanos takes the Gamora to his ship where he already had Nebula captured and tortured her to ask Gamora about the SOUL STONE. Gamora tells the location of SOUL Stone in order to free Nebula. Thanos ask her to come with him. After they were gone, Nebula manged to escape.
Thanos and Gamora goes to planet Vormir, where they meet stone keeper(RED SKULL)( Captain AMERICA 1 Villain). Stone keeper asked Thanos to pay the price for the stone, which is to sacrifice the one he truly loved. Gamora smiles because according to her, he hasn’t loved anyone. Thanos had tears in his eyes, which surprise Gamora, then RED SKULL tells her "They are not for him, They are for her". Thanos sacrifice Gamora to the pit and get the SOUL STONE.
Star lord, Drax Mantis and Nebula reached to Planet Titan to fight Thanos where they meet Doctor Strange, Iron man and spiderman. During that time Doctor Strange had been doing simulation on defeating Thanos with the help of TIME STONE. he had done 14 million and 605 simulation and they had won only once in that.
Thanos also reached there to get the Time Stone. All of them together had almost beaten Thanos but Thanos overpower them later and Doctor Strange forced to handover the TIME STONE to Thanos to save Iron Man.
Captain and rest of the avenger goes to Wakanda to get the support and force of Wakandian force by Black panther. Vision propose to sacrifice himself to destroy the MIND STONE which Wanda and Captain America refuses. While Shuri(Black Panther’s sister) suggests that she can removed the Stone if some time is given to her.
after sometime, Thanos’s also reached Wakanda to get the MIND STONE, but they were interrupted by Wakanda nation’s army and avenger team. At one point Thanos’s army was so big they had outnumbered Wakanda army and avengers team included, then comes the lightening entry of Thor from the sky with his new hammer STORMBREAKER whose single blow was killing Thanos army by hundreds. Thor was accompanied by Rocket and Groot.
While on the other side, to get to the MIND STONE Thanos’s generals were trying to lure out the Wanda(Scarlet Witch) who was guarding Vision. later they managed to do so. They attacked vision. Vision fights and kill one the enemy but later attacked by the Thanos’s general. Captain America and Hulk in Hulkbuster suit comes for rescue.
After that Thanos also reached their through portal Captain america and others try to engaged him. Vision asked Wanda to destroy the MIND STONE in order to save the universe which she sadly agreed to do. she destroy the MIND STONE but vision also dies in that process. Thanos defeated the Captain America and others. She didn’t hurt Wanda and tells her that he understands her pain.
He then revives Vision only to kill him by snatching the MIND STONE from his forehead. Thor comes to scene where he attack with stormbreaker into the Thanos chest, which severely injured Thanos. He tells Thor that he should had gone for his head and snaps his fingers and later goes to the portal.
By snapping his fingers Thanos has wipe out the half of the universe including almost half of the protagonists.
POST CREDIT SCENES
Nick fury has been seen to contact the captain marvel before turning to the ashes.
