I had a health claim to make, called them up right after hospitalization, they said they’ve recorded the info. Called them up again asking for the procedure for processing claims.
They said they’re recording the information for the first time! Not a big issue as I was within the stipulated time. This time the customer care person asked me to submit the bills in person and gave me an address.
I reached there and was informed that they don’t take claim forms in that office. They redirect me to their Mission Road (Bangalore) office.
I went there and submitted the bills. After a couple of status checks, when I called, they said they’re sending the cheque and asked me where to send and I gave my **home address**. After a week, I didn’t receive. So, I called them up again and they said they’ve already sent it.
Tried again, and they say it came back. They said I’ve to come in person. This time I go there and see that the courier has been addressed to the person in **my office** who got the group policy. If the person is not available, the courier guys won’t call him or me?
When I collected the cheque, I asked for the original bills for the rejected amount. The helpful representative said it’s in another office and she’ll send them to me over courier. After a couple of days, on a Friday, I emailed her and she says they’ve got the bills and asks where to send.
I sent my office address and added that we’re closed on weekends, so take care as to reach on Monday. On Monday evening, I email again and she replies saying they’ve kept it on hold as per my request! To add insult to my injury, she asks the address to which to send the courier. I gave the address again and asked her to send immediately.
She says she has sent. It’s Wednesday and the courier hasn’t reached me even after repeated emails and a phone call asking for the courier tracking number, she hasn’t given it to me still. Our accountant is waiting on these bills for salary processing. My couriers to small towns 500 km from Bangalore reach the next day. How long does a courier take to deliver within Bangalore?
