Good Bike

This is not a too technical review, which I will write after I have driven my bike for a considerable period of time.

After spending about 2 months and hours on the net , researching I decided to buy Bajaj Discover DTSi 125CC.

I looked at the following before finally deciding.

Hero Honda Super Splendour/Glamour

TVS Star City

Bajaj Pulsar

Honda Unicon

I know that all the above makes are not from one category and probably not comparable.

I am very much disappointed by Hero Honda’s response, They make world class bikes but there service is really poor.Their sales rep do not have time to explain to you. Most of the time the selling is done by the finance company guys.Since I didnot want to avail of loan , I didnot get proper response.Though I should mention here that they did follow up with me on phone and asking to visit their show room again, but these guys really don’t have time for the customers.

I test drove the bike super splendour (Not from the show room but my relatives) and felt(my personal opinion) that its suspension was HArd.Though I own one Hero honda Bike (Street) which has never troubled me and given excellent performance, the attitude of their dealer’s has made me drop the idea of going in fora Hero Honda make bike

From the net I got very good reviews regarding TVS Star city, I test drove it and found it nice. The comment that ’’If you want to upgrade from a labour class 100 CC model bike go for -------- m125 cc model ’’ on one of the web site made me think many times and finally I decided that 100 CC was probably not enough for my weight (70+ Kg)and when I am driving with my wife.Hence I dropped this too from my list though I liked this one.

Regarding Honda Unicon, I really liked this one (Great suspension and silent firing)but the only factor against this bike was the Seat arrangement which was more suitable for youngsters and not for me with my family.

now from te Bajaj group, Pulsar was alsoa good option but again here too the seating was more for a youngsters, Hence I finally decided to buy Bajaj Discover 125CC DTSi model.I liked its looks, Firing/sound, Alloy wheels, electric start etc.. at a great price. So completely a very good package.Even the bajaj dealers response was also very good and helpful.I am driving the bike since 2 weeks and except the Gear changing sound/method I am happy with the bike.Though I have still not measured accurately the fuel consumption seems to be ok (Between 50- 60KM/Lt).

I will write a detailed review after I have finished atleast 2000 Kms on this bike.

One more comment I would like to make here that a person who buys a bike after availing a Loan gets a far more good response than one who buys it in Cash. Why is it like this???I would like readers of this review to comment on this fact also
