Sloppy Stone age customer service from Bajaj

I purchased a Bajaj Flora 1L Instant Geyser from Snapdeal website last week and the same was delivered to my Pune address on 18 December 2014. After referring Bajaj website mentioning free installation service is available, I called their call centre No.022-41280000 at 3.12 pm.


The guy took all the address details and told me that a person will come over and install the geyser within 2 days. I received a SMS from WECARE saying call No.6053189-1 has been assigned to Global services Pune. Next day, I received a call from a service centre guy in Pune, saying installation will be charged at 350 Rupees.


Then after hearing out the address of Vadgaon Sheri in Pune, he said it is beyond his service area!


He promised to forward the complaint to my area in 2 days. Very next day a person called me and mentioned that 1L and 3L geysers have installation charges of 250 Rupees and 10L and above, it is free installation!


I also agreed to pay him the money and then he said he is speaking from Kharghar in Navi Mumbai and Pune is beyond his service area! Again he told me he will send it to another person in Pune.


Next day another guy called from Mobile No.8624961675 without even telling me who or from where he is calling and mentioned that he will do the installation in Pune and will come over at 4pm to 5pm same day. First he said that it will be charged at 250 bucks, but when I told him I spoke to Bajaj call centre and I bought it online on snapdeal, he agreed to do it for free. 2 days later, when we tried calling him back, he refused to answer calls and cuts calls abruptly if we try to call him. I also wrote to their customer care on email, but 2 days later again the similar kind of sloppy and erratic response.


It is indeed disappointing that a company of this status has such a poor customer service and response system. Surprised about their behavior in today’s customer centric and demanding age when they think they can sustain with this kind of cheap grade service to the customers.


Again each guy calling had different ideas of the installation charges! There is no uniformity or rather people are not aware about what to charge. If it is not possible for Bajaj to do the installation, they should mention this clearly. At least we could have checked other options which we did after one week wait anyway.


People beware while dealing with Bajaj customer care.They are back to stone age!
