Pulsar 180 - worth racing your pulse alongside thi

I took a Pulsar 180 for a long ride on the weekened and this is what I ahv e to say . GREAT bike !!! Lets start from the beginning.

Looks:-

Bajaj has really taken a lot of trouble in design. The bike rides on 17 inch wheels and looks rather short but once you get onboard the difference disappears - it is tall enough. The muguards are black and the other color. Disc brake in front. Black alloy wheals. The Fuel Tank is broad and well flared out to give it a kind of cruiser look but does not obstruct in riding. Electric start - Soft to the touch and responsive. Trigger and the

engine rises and falls to a silent purring sound. Turn the throttle and the intentions are well clear - this bike means business. Rear brake light is LED based so you get a nice futuristic look

Fully digital speed / fule indicators. Though the tachometer is still maual. Automatic turn signla cutoff system - you dont haveto flip the switch back to off Responsive back brake. - I raced on double and the bike stopped on time everytime The handle drops down to almpst a racing angle so when you sit on te

bike teh first time you feels as if the handle bar is too low. So

lean forward just a wee bit.. Dual ignition ensures a smooth firing of te engine. A nice fat silencer

all black. Two level seats - pillion is at a higher position.

Performance. I took tje bike out of a few smalls roads where you realy cant let go then climed a flyover in 4th and it kept acelerating. Down tne flyover in 5 , brake at the landing area, switch to 3rd, move

away, mad traffic junction ahead, slowdown in 3rd, traffic clears and the bike just weaved out fast !! I hate that weaving stunt it makes you look like a madcap out to get killed and cause chaos but this time had

to just do it.

The bike responded as if ther was nothing too extradinary being asked of it. Easily accelerated to 80 kmph AND THE MAD TRAFFIC SIGNAL AGAIN!!!   Quickly pulled back on the disc

and the bike slowed down real fast, No lurching forward. And then in idle mode it was real silent like any 4 stroke You barely felt it being alive. Extremely stable vehicle on the turns. No dancing of any sorts. and you neatly stop and exit the vehicle.

Pricve was 67k in Bangalore and funnily 65 K for the 150 version - Question to Bajaj - 30cc of engine power is just 2000 /- more ?? Anyway. The big brothers are coming to Bangalore in March/April is what I heard. 200 and 225 cc. The 225 is expectedto almost touch the ONE LAKH price mark. and 20 BHP.

Those in Pune / Mumbai please check out the 200/225 bikes please. The 180 is exected to give about 45 kpl is what I have info. 4 colors - black , silver, red and blue. Not to o sure of the blue color just check it out
