I finally got the pulsar 220 few days ago. Till now Im very impressed with the bike. I mean what was bajaj doing all these years. It could have easily "invented" a bike like this. I had driven hero honda ambition for 6 years but now Im a bajaj fan. Though I had to wait or three days to get the bike delivered but it was worth waiting.
I live in delhi and I made the payment on saturday at the bajaj probiking centre at basant lok and got the bike delivered on tuesday. Now lets talk business. I have tried my level best to list the pros and cons of the bike so that it prove to be beneficial to u in every way...
Advantages
200 cc engine delivers u great power, can do 0-60 in 3-3.5 sec...0-100 in 4-5sec..
the front fairing is simply awesome, I really gives u a feel of a sports bike.
self cancelling indicators. You do not have to worry about the indicators ones u take a turn...like we have in cars
split seat...looks as if it is totally ment for seating...those who have a girlfriend must go for this thing...as the space ti to less...lol
wheels are another attraction...the wheel base is too broad which gives u a firm grip on the road while cornering...
tubless tyres...u really do not have to worry about the bike getting puncured...if something pricks in the tyre...u can ride another 10 kms...a solution for this is also available...just visit the MRF tyre showroom and get urself a "do it ur self" kind of a puncture kit!!!
breaks....lovely...that was the first word when I first time applied the breaks....stopppies are no more a thing to think...just gain some momentum apply the front breaks....and everyone looks at u!!
the digital meter is also good there are mant indicators which the bike alerts u with if something is wrong as in low battery, engine problem, lo engine oil etc
ones u start the bike it performs a digital check to check if there is any problem
the headlamps are somply superb....i think the low beam is a regular yello light yet powerful but the high beam has a white light...
the tank capacity is 15 ltrs with 4 ltrs of reserve...the bike alerts u with a red light if the bike is running in reserve...the same lightalerts u when u r running at a greater speed than recommended
the seating position is racing type...a little forward bend is waht u feel...
the mirrors add to the soprty look and can be folded...
finding the neutral is no a problem
I think I have covered all the advantages...i havent tried exceeding the speed limit doe to the rpm restriction...will update the post soon
disadvantages (hardly any**)
*the racing position makes ur hand a kind of numb after sometime...
u have to take a proper turn in order to get the indicators self cancelled
the chain cover is missing in order to give a sporty look...this makes the grease stick to the rear tyre
not recommended for those who have a family as the saree guard does not have a foot rest...so itll become difficult for ur mom to sit comfortably
the mirrors do not covered a large portion.
the rear desc break is as good as drum breaks.
Thats it, will update the post soon.
